CSM is perfectly integrated in the infrastructure framework of the Sampierdarena Port Basin of Genoa, where the road network is well developed both at quay and elevated level, horizontally distributing incoming traffic to terminals.
The main access to the Basin, located at S.Benigno Custom Point, is directly connected to the motorway toll station of Ledi Genova Ovest and with CSM.
Moreover, Authorities have recently approved a project for the implementation of the development of the motorway network and the construction of the railway connection for the Basin of Sampierdarena, which is expected to have a major impact in increasing efficiency and operability of CSM and all other port terminals.
